The DuraMem® and PuraMem® membrane series are market leading membranes for Organic Solvent Nanofiltration (OSN). Both DuraMem® and PuraMem® are made from P84® polyimide. Their superior stability in non-aqueous solvents allows users to generate extra product value in a wide variety of applications in chemical process industries. Benefits of OSN include reduced cost of goods, reduced energy consumption, and increased yield through gentle, ambient temperature separations.


DuraMem®
Where most polymeric organophilic membranes fail, DuraMem® excels. DuraMem® offers long term stability in most so called aggressive solvents such as solvents of the polar aprotic solvent family (acetone, tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide); as well as rejection of the smallest molecules in the nanofiltration range.

Recommended maximum temperature:
50°C 
Recommended maximum operating pressure: 
from 20 to 60 bar (290 to 870 psi)
Useable in:
acetone, ethanol, methanol, tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide*, dimethylsulfoxide*, dimethylacetamide*, isopropanol, acetonitrile, methylethylketone, ethyl acetate, and more 
Not recommended in the presence of:
chlorinated solvents, strong amines

PuraMem®
PuraMem® is the brand new membrane series stable in apolar hydrocarbon-type solvents. PuraMem® shows superior rejection and flux performance as compared to similar commercially available membranes.

280 to 600 Da 
Recommended maximum temperature:
50°C 
Recommended maximum operating pressure:
from 20 to 60 bar (290 to 870 psi)
Useable in:
toluene, heptane, hexane, methylethylketone , methyl-isobutylketone, ethyl acetate, and more 
Not recommended with:
most polar and polar aprotic solvents, chlorinated solvents, strong amines
